The Conservative party should stick to what it does best "which is destroying the economy" instead of criticising Labour, according to First Minister Carwyn Jones AM.
He made the statement in response to an attack by the leader of the opposition on 29 March 2011.
Nick Bourne AM challenged Mr Jones on the publication of the manufacturing strategy, which, up until last week, the First Minister had been promising before the assembly dissolved.
He was criticised by the Mid and West Wales AM for not knowing what was happening with his own strategy.
The first minister confirmed that the first strategy had been published on 16 March 2011 and the other will be published in the autumn.
Kirsty Williams AM questioned the first minister's legacy at the end of the assembly term describing the economy as "weak" and schools "underfunded".
Defending his record, Mr Jones outlined his government's commitment to ensuring that people were protected in the current economic climate and supporting students through their education.
Plaid Cymru's Leanne Wood AM voiced her concerns over public sector job cuts from the Westminster government and Mr Jones stressed that the Welsh assembly government has always resisted cuts robustly.
