Jeff Cuthbert AM said that more mental health support should be made available to veterans.

Mr Cuthbert spoke during the Respect for Armed Forces debate on 6 October 2010.

He said that ex-personnel were more likely to suffer from post-traumatic stress which can make returning to normal life difficult.

Mr Cuthbert argued that more should be done to rehabilitate ex-service men and women and help them return to work, education or training.

Army personnel are currently entitled to concessionary bus passes in Wales and have priority in the home-to-buy scheme.

Defence and national security is not a devolved to Wales.
