Conservatives call for cardiology improvements

The Conservatives led a debate on 4 November 2009, calling on the assembly to recognise that the link between education and a healthy lifestyle helped the prevention of heart disease.

According to the Conservatives cardiac services in Wales were not meeting the needs of heart disease sufferers.

The Conservatives believed that the assembly government needed to ensure that the standard of cardiac services are improved across Wales.

The assembly government argued that 'significant improvements' had been made in terms of cardiac waiting times throughout Wales.
