Decision time

MSPs voted to pass the amended motion from the Conservative's debate on Scotland's colleges, during decision time on 14 November 2012.

The amendment from Education Secretary Mike Russell was passed with 65 MSPs backing it and 53 voting against it, the same voting pattern carried the amended motion, originally tabled by Liz Smith, the Scottish Conservative education spokesperson.

An amendment from Hugh Henry, Scottish Labour's education spokesperson, was defeated with 53 voting for it but 65 against.
