The cost of my flights, internal travel and accommodation were borne by Christian Aid, International Alert and the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD). The organisation paid for my return flights to Halifax/Nova Scotia and three nights in a local hotel. (Registered 28 May 2009) 2-5 May 2009, to New York, to attend the preparatory committee for the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty at the UN Headquarters, on behalf of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) of which I am Vice-Chair, and as Chair of the CND Parliamentary Group.
