Air Passenger Duty Bill

The Air Passenger Duty (Setting of Rate) Bill completed its consideration stage, on 22 October 2012.

Air Passenger Duty (APD) is a revenue-raising tax levied on passengers flying from a UK airport.

The bill, if passed, would devolve powers to vary the level of long-haul APD rates to the Stormont Executive.

The Assembly previously agreed to grant the bill acclererated passage.
