Question Time: Regional and Social Development

The SDLP's Alban Maginness described the situation faced by Belfast commuters due to changes to the traffic system as a "shambles", on 9 October 2012.

Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy said the Belfast On the Move initiative was designed to free up street space by encouraging people who drove through the city centre to take other routes.

"Let me make it clear; there is no war on motorists," he said.

Mr Maginness was not convinced.

"This needs to be rethought, and rethought quickly," he said.

The minister also answered questions on bus stations and cycling.

Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland answered questions on matters including social enterprises, and unfit homes in Dungannon.
