Draft Pharmacy Order

Health minister Edwin Poots introduced his draft pharmacy order to the house as "a very significant development", on 31 January.

Mister Poots said the order was designed to amend the Pharmacy (NI) Order, 1976.

He said it was aimed at giving added assurance to the public with regard to the regulation of pharmacy.

The DUP's Jim Wells expressed the health committee's approval of the statutory rule.

The motion was passed on an oral vote.
