On 15 January 2013, the Bishop of Coventry, Christopher Cocksworth, and former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, were introduced to the House of Lords.

Rowan Williams was introduced as Lord Williams of Oystermouth.

Dr Williams was the 104th man to have served as Archbishop of Canterbury.

His retirement marked the end of more than 20 years as a bishop and archbishop.

On 9th November 2012, Justin Welby, Bishop of Durham, was named as the successor to Dr Williams.
