The committee is made up of members of the Business, Defence, Foreign Affairs and International Development committees.
It examines the government's expenditure, administration and policy on strategic exports, which covers the licensing of arms exports and other controlled goods.
Prime Minister David Cameron used a recent speech on foreign affairs to warn against being "squeamish" in seeking defence contracts, promoting the government's strategy to double UK exports to £1 trillion by 2020.
