HIV in developing countries

The Conservative MP for Mid Derbyshire, Pauline Latham, led a Westminster Hall debate on risks, rights and health in developing countries on 19 December 2012.

Around 72% of all Aids deaths are believed to occur in Africa, despite the continent being home to only 14.5% of the world's population.

Approximately 34 million people worldwide are believed to be HIV positive.
