Work and Pension Committee

MPs have been taking evidence on the Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) on 21 November 2012.

Employment Minister Mark Hoban gave evidence to the committee on the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) for the ESA.

This session looked at the Department for Work and Pensions' management of the contract for medical services.

The Work Capability Assessment was introduced in October 2008, to assess entitlement to the ESA, which replaces incapacity benefit.
