Aung San Suu Kyi addresses Parliament

The Burmese pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi, addressed members of both Houses of Parliament in Westminster Hall on 21 June 2012.

Commons Speaker John Bercow MP gave the welcome address introducing Aung San Suu Kyi and the Lord Speaker, Baroness D'Souza, gave the valedictory address thanking Aung San Suu Kyi, following the pro-democracy leader's speech.

Ms Suu Kyi visited Parliament during a four day trip to the UK - her first since leaving 24 years ago to lead Burma's pro-democracy movement.
