Business resumed with a debate on MoD (Ministry of Defence) Logistics Bicester, tabled by Plaid Cymru MP Elfyn Llwyd.
Following a brief adjournment, Labour MP Lindsay Roy opened a debate on the possible extension of the proposed high speed rail network to Scotland.
MPs went on to consider the issue of flood defences in a debate tabled by Conservative MP Neil Carmichael.
