Adjournment debate

Labour MP for North Tyneside Mary Glindon led an adjournment debate on the Armed Forces Covenant on 19 April 2012.

The covenant sets out the obligation the nation has to look after the armed forces community due to the sacrifices they make in the line of duty.

Though the covenant does not have a legal footing the government is committed to presenting a yearly report to Parliament on its status.
