Adjournment debate

On 14 June 2010, Labour MP Alison Seabeck led a debate on water charges in the south-west England.

South West Water (SWW) customers pay the highest water bills in the country, which the company says is down to the cost of keeping the coastal region's sea water clean.

Ms Seabeck has vowed to fight for lower water bills in the region, arguing that the charges are unfair and hurt pensioners the most.
