Northern Ireland Assembly Members Bill

On 7 April 2010, MPs approved the Northern Ireland Assembly Members Bill, which prevents politicians sitting in both the House of Commons and the Northern Ireland Assembly from receiving two salaries.

It also allows the assembly to delegate control of its salaries and allowances to an independent body.
