Statements of Opinion

Statements of Opinion can be tabled by any member of the Welsh Assembly, other than a member of the Welsh Assembly Government, on matters affecting Wales.

They are published by Senedd officials, and may be supported, opposed or subject to comment by other Assembly Members.

But, rather like Early Day Motions (EDMs) in Westminster, they do not carry any clout beyond the publicity that they may generate.
