Department of the Official Report

The Department of the Official Report is responsible for reporting all of the debates which take place in Parliament, both on the floor of the House and in standing committees.

It oversees the production of the Official Report - known as Hansard - which is printed overnight on paper and should become available on the internet about three hours after a speech has been delivered.

Hansard is expected to reproduce no more than one significant error every 13 columns.
