Table Office

The Table Office is one of the offices within the Department of the Clerk of the House and is concerned largely with the compilation of the Commons daily order paper.

Members can go in person to the Table Office to table, or hand in, any questions or motions which they wish to raise in the House.

Nowadays, they can also table questions online.

Clerks in the Table Office advise members on how to word their questions and motions so that they conform with the rules of the House.

The Table Office is situated off the corridor just behind the Speaker's Chair.
