MEPs held their daily voting session on 16 November 2011.
Votes were on:
• providing financial support from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund to workers who have been made redundant in the following sectors: construction in Ireland; retail in Greece; architecture and engineering in Ireland; specialised construction activities in Ireland; and the transport sector in Austria
on the work of the Africa Caribbean Pacific - European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly in 2010
• the creation of the
European Heritage Label,
a bid to strengthen European citizens' sense of belonging to the EU
• new legislation on the
single European railway area
• motions for resolution setting out the European Parliament's position on the Durban
climate change conference
and on the financing of
• a report on European cinema in the digital era
The session ended with MEPs giving explanations for the way in which they voted.
