MEPs held their daily voting session on 5 April 2011 during which they voted to:
• approve EU aid to help unemployed workers in the Czech Republic and Poland following various company closures
• pass amendments on new rules on export credit guarantees. The final vote on the proposal was postponed to allow for further time for negotiations with the Council of Ministers.
• adopt reports by
parliamentary committees
on the role of women in agriculture and decommissioning of nuclear power plants in new member states
• pass amendments to new rules on the export of
dual-use goods
. The final vote on the proposal was postponed to allow for further time for negotiations with the Council of Ministers.
• adopt a report by the Women's Rights Committee on combating
violence against women
