Voting session

MEPs held their daily voting session on 15 February 2011 during which they voted to:

• pass amendments to a trade agreement between the EU and South Africa

• approve a new five year financial agreement between the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway on improving aid to poorer regions of the European Economic Area (which includes both EU and non-EU states)

• approve an agreement between the EU and Brazil on air services

• approve an agreement with Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein on technical changes to the EU's External Borders Fund

• approve agreements between the EU and Switzerland and Liechtenstein on technical changes to the Schengen agreement

• approve an agreement between the EU and Brazil on a reciprocal visa waiver scheme for short visits

• adopt a report on the implementation of the Services Directive

• pass a draft law on CO2 emissions from vans

• agree to using the enhanced co-operation method for a system of European patents

• approve amendments to laws governing radioactive levels in foodstuffs following a nuclear accident

• agree to a compromise agreement on the rights of bus and coach passengers
