  Beckham slams newspaper reports
Updated 25 May 2004, 18.55
David Beckham
David Beckham has spoken out for the first time since newspapers claimed he'd cheated on his wife, Victoria.

In an interview with a radio station he attacked newspapers that ran stories saying there were problems within his marriage, describing some of the stories as "an absolute disgrace".

Instead the Real Madrid star described himself as "a nice person and loving husband and father".

The interview took place after an England training session in Sardinia.
