The Red Cross - which has been helping rebuild the country after the war - is moving a third of its staff to safer places.

It says levels of violence in Iraq are very high and American forces cannot guarantee to keep them safe.

Attacks

Last week, 23 people died when a car bomb went off at the UN headquarters in Iraq's capital city - Baghdad.

And there have been other attacks on British troops.

Three were killed over the weekend in the southern Iraqi city of Basra.
