The teacher came into class to discover the word "idiot" written on the board, alongside some chalky fingerprints.
When none of the primary school pupils would own up to doing it, the teacher turned to drastic measures.
Complaints
The class of 30 pupils were made to put their fingerprints on pieces of sticky tape.
The teacher then tried to match the prints with those on the board.
But turning detective didn't help this teacher.
Parents complained that she had gone too far.
She has now left the school.
