No weapons of mass destruction in Iraq
Updated 24 September 2003, 21.01
The report says Iraq don't have weapons of mass destruction
There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before or during the military action there, according to reports.

A group of 1,400 experts have spent a long time since the war searching for the weapons that were the main reason for the US and UK led war.

They're writing a report explaining what they've found, but it's not supposed to be published yet, and they haven't completely finished their search.

But what the experts have written so far has been leaked to a journalist, which means a copy has been shown to him before it was supposed to.

The leaked report says Saddam Hussein didn't have any weapons or anywhere to make them, and worked very hard to make things difficult to UN weapons inspectors.

It also says that Saddam Hussein's regime was trying to get hold of the things they needed to make weapons of mass destruction.

Both the UK and US governments haven't got anything to say about the report, because it's not finished yet.

They also say that all the information they had before the war was reason enough for military action, and this report doesn't change that.
