Local Muslim people in Derby are shocked that someone from their town might have had something to do with terrorist activity.
Prime Minister Tony Blair said what happened was terrible and promised UK security forces would help in the hunt for the man.
But the UK Foreign Office said they still have to make sure the men were in fact British and that their passports which were found weren't fake.
Peace plan
The blast came on the same day as the first Palestinian Prime Minister was officially named as Mahmoud Abbas.
A peace plan was also handed over to Israeli and Palestinian authorities by politicians. They are trying to help the two sides agree on how land in the country is divided up.
