What's in an Oxfam aid pack?
Updated 15 April 2003, 15.34
This is what's in the food aid
Each aid pack put together by Oxfam costs about 800.

The pack does not contain food - that comes from elsewhere.

But it includes supplies to cook for and feed 200 refugees.

Included in the aid packs are:

  • Pan to cook food in
  • Ladle to give the food out
  • Cups
  • Cutlery
  • Jugs
  • Buckets with lids to store clean water in
  • Anti bacterial soap to help stop the spread of disease

Oxfam are also shipping out water tanks big enough to store enough fresh water for five thousand people a day - some are even bigger.
