President Bush tells Iraq: 'The game is over'
Updated 07 February 2003, 09.21
The UK is sending out more troops and helicopter to Iraq
The American President has issued a strong warning to Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein about the possibility of war.

George W Bush said: "The game is over" and said Saddam must act now if he wants to avoid a military attack.

America and the UK are insisting that Iraq give up its weapons of mass destruction, but neither country believes this has been done.

More troops sent out

This comes as the British Government revealed it's sending out many more troops into Iraq.

It's sending:

  • 75 more RAF aircraft
  • 7,100 troops
  • 27 helicopters

And there are plans to send even more.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair admitted on Thursday night lots of people in the UK are against the Iraq war, but said Saddam must be stopped from building up dangerous weapons.

There are already more than 200,000 American personnel in, or on their way to Iraq, and around 40,000 British troops too.

President Bush has also accused Saddam of giving his people the go-ahead to use chemical weapons if war starts, even though the Iraqi leader has always denied having any.
