America losing support over war with Iraq
Updated 24 January 2003, 07.31
Young people in Brazil joined the protests against war with Iraq
It looks like the US President George Bush is losing support for war against Iraq.

More and more American people are starting to express doubts about whether their country should go to war.

And lots of other countries don't think war is the answer.

Secret weapons

British student Ian Wilson heckled Tony Blair about the war
Top politicians in Russia and China said on Thursday they had huge doubts about the possible war. And France and Germany have already said they're against the idea.

There have also been protests against the war in countries like Brazil and Turkey.

But despite all this, the American government still insists the world would support it if it went to war with Iraq.

Top government bosses in America gave a list of reasons why they believe Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is hiding secret weapons, which could kill thousands of people.

But other countries still think there's not enough evidence to justify a war at this stage.
