It's 'action!' for the Disney Studios in Paris
Updated 16 March 2002, 11.52
Roy Disney declares the Studios open
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy were all on hand on Saturday to help Roy Disney shout "Lights, camera, action!" and declare the new Disney Studios in Paris open to the public.

Hundreds of eager children from all over Europe streamed in as soon as the ribbon was cut.

Excited crowds

The Studios aim to take you behind the scenes of the film and cartoon worlds.

And the queues quickly formed in the four main areas of the Studios.

  Take the Tram Tour!

Top of most children's bill was the Studio Tram Tour and the Rock 'N Roller Coaster which goes from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 second!

We asked Thomas, eight, from Holland what he thought: "It was really good, but I'm shaking very much!"

It is stomach-churning stuff. If you've never been on a roller coaster before, this is a great first time chance!

Children were also desperate to see Armageddon special effects where you become the actor in amazing effects based on the film.

People waited an hour in the queue, only for it to break down!

But the Studios seemed to have impressed most so far.

Watch out for the full Press Pack report on Monday's Newsround at 5.25pm.
