It is the worst hurricane the region has seen for 50 years.

And now Florida has gone on alert and declared a state of emergency after fears Hurricane Michelle is coming its way.

However, there are signs that the winds are getting weaker and it has been downgraded from a four to a three on the hurricane scale of one to five.
