Try to beat world's fastest texter
Updated 06 May 2004, 13.31
How fast can you text?
The world's fastest texter James Trusler tapped out a tough 160-character message in 1m 7secs.

He's obviously really good at spelling because the message was:

The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.

The CBBC Newsround Online team took between 2m 35secs and 4m.

Now it's time to test your texting skills. Tell us how long it took you to type in the message.

Remember, predictive text is not allowed!

How long did it take you?
 1m 7secs or less
 1m 30secs or less
 2m or less
 2m 30secs or less
 3m or less
 More than 3m
