  Charity seeks morally brave kids
Updated 03 November 2004, 15.50
Awards presenter June Sarpong with award winner
The Anne Frank Trust is asking you to nominate kids you know who have somehow shown that they are morally brave.

By this it means someone who has done something special to build a better world and stood up for people's rights.

This could mean helping out someone who is being bullied or someone being given a hard time because of their race.

The awards are called the Anne Frank Awards for Moral Courage, named after a Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis with her family during World War II.

But she was eventually captured and she died in a Nazi concentration camp.

She became famous when the diary she wrote about her experiences was published after her death.

In 2003 the awards attracted thousands of entries, and this year they're expecting even more.

Four winners will get to collect their award at the star-studded awards ceremony, plus go to Amsterdam and visit the Anne Frank Museum.

To find out more about nominations, go to the Anne Frank Trust website link on the right of this page.
