A spokesman for Prince Charles said that what happened was "unfortunate" and "regretful" but that an apology isn't necessary.

Prince Harry was hit in the face by a camera in a scuffle outside a London nightclub in the early hours of Thursday morning, royal officials say.

The prince also cut a photographer's lip when he pushed a camera away.

Harry, who is third in line to the throne, has reportedly apologised to his father, Prince Charles, about the incident outside Pangaea nightclub in the early hours of Thursday.

It happened just a week after a teacher accused the prince of cheating in his A-Level art exam.
