Rumours suggested the book would be called Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storgé, but a spokesman denied this.

Fans around the world were excited as JK confirmed the title on her website, and also gave some more information about book six.

She told fans that the person in the title was neither Harry nor Voldemort.

There was some confusion, as JK revealed in an interview that the title was also considered for the second book, Chamber of Secrets.
