Harry Potter has failed to make it into a list of essential books to read.
JK Rowling's stories about Harry, Ron and Hermione were ignored in the list of top 50 modern books recommended by organisers of the Orange book award.
But it was good news for The Story of Tracey Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson which was named a must-read title.
The list was only open to authors that are still alive, as organisers thought that really old books usually get the most votes in book polls.
The list was put together from a poll of book lovers who attended the Hay literary festival.
Even though none of the Harry Potter books made the list they're still massively successful.
The five novels about the boy wizard are reported to have sold more than 250 million copies around the world between them - more than any other series of books.
