Meg Cabot is the author of the Princess Diaries series.

Her books have inspired two movies and her latest book "Sixsational" hits the shelves in October.

Meg might be a successful writer now, but she tells us what life was like when she was 12.


What was your most embarrassing moment at school?
When I fell down while roller-skating with a boy I was crushing on, I fell ON TOP OF HIM!

How much pocket money did you get?
One dollar a week.

What did your school report say?
"Meg is much too shy and needs to learn to stand up for herself more."

What was your favourite TV show?
Little House on the Prairie.

The Princess Diaries: Sixsational
"Sixsational" is the sixth Princess Diaries book.

Who was your favourite teacher and why?
Mrs. Hunter, because she was psychic and predicted I would be a writer. Also she had beautiful go-go boots.

What made you cringe most?
Math.

Were you bullied?
Yes, by a girl named Rosemary.

Who was your hero or heroine?
Princess Leia.

Did you have a nickname?
Maggot Cabbage.

What was your favourite book?
The Fantastic Voyage, a novel based on the movie of that name.
