More than 31,000 kids and young people spoke to a ChildLine counsellor about bullying in 12 months, compared with 21,000 in the previous year.

One in four calls to the charity are about bullying, making it the biggest reason people get in touch with them.

ChildLine are now trying to raise money so more kids can speak to counsellors on their free help line, 0800 1111.

They hope to get £1m to pay to train new counsellors and to fund the phone calls.

About half the children who talked to the charity say they had experienced name calling or other verbal abuse.
