Toys made by teenager are big hit
Updated 02 February 2004, 16.44

Loads of kids make presents for their mates, but imagine them being so good they end up being sold in shops.

That's what happened to Luisa Bundy, whose cute clay versions of her pals were such a hit that they're going to be sold in the famous toy shop Hamleys.

When Luisa was 12 she made small figures for her friends, and now three years later, everyone wants one.

Since then Luisa has sold 13,000 of her "Little Bundies", through craft fairs and at a gift shop in her home town.

But soon the number of people who wanted Little Bundies was bigger than the number she could make, so Luisa decided to ask well-known businessman Sir Richard Branson for some top tips.

He suggested setting up a company to help meet the demand, so that's what happened, and now Luisa's mum works for her company!

The toys are "magical"

The toys are now being made by two other companies, and not by Luisa, with some of them being sold in Hamleys from March 2004.

The boss of one of those companies, Linda Osborne, said: "They're magical. That they've been created by a 15-year-old is unbelievable."
