Kids worried about weight at Xmas
Updated 29 December 2003, 08.58
Lots of children worry about their weight
More than a third of children are worried about getting fat over Christmas, a survey's shown.

Lots of kids admitted they were concerned about their weight as they snacked on mince pies and chocolates over the holidays.

And the majority of teens said the main thing they'd change about their health would to lose a few pounds.

This comes as a charity has launched a campaign called Get Sussed to help children tackle fat and get healthy.

Three out of five kids said in the survey they were confused about exactly what a healthy diet was.

Nearly half said their school dinners were unhealthy and lots said they didn't really have anywhere to exercise or run around out of school.

Staff at the charity which launched the Get Sussed website, called Developing Patient Partnerships, said schools must do more to help kids learn about a good diet and the importance of exercise.
