Heavy UK snow storms cause chaos
Updated 22 December 2003, 11.35
The snow is a big problem for cars
Heavy snowstorms have caused big problems in much of the UK, with Scotland, the north of England and parts of Yorkshire badly affected.

Police have warned drivers not to use their cars in some areas unless it's absolutely neccessary.

Weather experts think the snow will still be here on Tuesday, but expect things to get warmer by Christmas Day.

Things are also bad in East Anglia, where around two inches of snow fell on Sunday night.

In Scotland more than 20 roads have been closed because of the weather, after snow drifts and strong winds made things dangerous.

The rest of the country hasn't been too badly affected, but the snowstorms are expected to move south during Monday.
