  Worldwide support for cancer lad
Updated 16 December 2003, 15.39
Sean has well-wishers around the world
Eight-year-old cancer patient Sean Phillips is being cheered on by well-wishers around the world as he battles against Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Sean's been writing a diary on his very own website - www.seanphillips.tk, which has attracted readers from as far away as Hong Kong and Australia.

Sean has twice beaten cancer. Now he's fighting the disease for a third time and is due to have a scan next week.

Meanwhile, his pals are fundraising to send him to his fave place - Florida.

Fact File
Hodgkin's disease
It is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which helps the body fight infection
The lymphatic system is made up of tiny tubes, which often run alongside veins
It's often treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy

Sean fell in love with the place when he visited it with his family. But he was too tiny to go on some of the Disney World rides and is hoping he'll be big enough next time.

Sean writes his diary almost every day.

"I'm having a tough time at the moment as I cannot have any more chemo until I have had a scan," he wrote recently.

He also talks about every day stuff - like supporting Cardiff Devils ice hockey team, taking part in his school concert and buying a Christmas tree with his dad and brother.

Brilliant

"I've just had 20 e-mails in a row," Sean told CBBC Newsround Online. "I've had them from Detroit, Nova Scotia, Tasmania and loads of other places.

"I don't know the people who have written to me, but they all seem very nice. It's just brilliant."
