  President Bush arrives in Britain
Updated 18 November 2003, 20.05
Prince Charles meets President Bush
US President George Bush arrived in Britain on Tuesday evening.

The Prince of Wales greeted the President and wife Laura at Heathrow airport after they touched down in their special jet Air Force One.

The visitors then flew to Buckingham Palace in the US presidential helicopter to meet the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Mr Bush will stay in Britain until Friday and will also meet British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Mr Bush has made history by being the first ever US President to come to Britain on an official state visit.

This means he's been specially invited by the Queen.

While he's in Britain he will enjoy a ceremonial welcome, a formal banquet and private lunch with the Queen.

Protests

But not everyone is pleased to see Mr Bush.

Protest marches are expected in London and 14,000 British police will be involved in keeping Mr Bush safe.
