  Concorde makes its final flight
Updated 24 October 2003, 16.42
Concorde takes off from Edinburgh
The fastest, most glamorous way to cross the Atlantic has been grounded for good on Friday.

Concorde has finally ended its supersonic flights after 30 years but it went out in style.

The last flight was full of specially invited celebs and people who've flown Concorde a lot before.

Thousands of people watched the planes land for the historic moment. The planes are being retired because they don't make enough money.

Three jets landed at Heathrow airport within minutes of each other, after flying in from New York, Edinburgh and Heathrow itself on a round trip.

The final one landed at 4.05pm although no one knows exactly what will happen to the famously pointy planes next.

The popularity of the supersonic jets hasn't been the same since one of them crashed near Paris in 2000, killing 113 people.
