  Sweets 'must have health warning'
Updated 07 October 2003, 14.53

Sweets, soft drinks and sugary foods should come with health warnings on their wrappings, according to a member of the House of Lords.

Ruth Rendell, who's also a famous novelist, said that your fave snacks should have similar stickers to those on cigarette packs.

Baroness Rendell also said that supermarkets shouldn't keep sweets by checkouts, where kids could reach them.

She reckons that big shops should put fruit there instead, to tempt kids.

Fast food giant McDonalds also made a move towards being healthier.

They have just announced that they are testing a new, lower fat Chicken McNugget.

Some people think this is just an attempt to win more customers, as people want to eat healthy food rather than fatty burgers.
