Garden shed is home for two brothers
Updated 05 July 2003, 14.13
Glen inside the shed with all his gadgets
Two brothers who've been living in their garden sheds have run into trouble with local housing officials.

Glen and Xyron Brown, both 12, have been living in converted sheds because their house in Blyth, Northumberland, is overcrowded.

They're not roughing it: the sheds are fully equipped with lighting, heating, TV and even a DVD player!

Walkie talkies

Xyron has moved back into the house

But housing officials say them living there is a safety risk and want the family to move to a bigger house.

Xyron has now moved back into the house with his parents and two sisters but Glen's determined to stay put, where he communicates with his family via walkie-talkie!

Better school work!

He said: "It's a really nice place and I like it. I've got everything I need and I don't want to move."

His dad also thinks that forcing them to move is a silly idea.

He said: "The boys love it - their school work has improved."

The housing officials say they won't force the boys to move.
