And then it emerged that a batch of books in Australia and New Zealand had two chapters gone.
It's thought 10,000 of the 750,000 copies printed in these two countries are faulty.
'Angry'
One of the women, Amy, from Yorkshire, said: "I'd been caught up in the hype of the book launch and was quite angry to have a big chunk of the story missing. All I could do was read past the gap in the book to the end."
Amazon, who supplied her book, said they were sending her a free replacement copy straight away.
In Australia, the missing chapters have been blamed on a printing error.
