The sarcastic Pop Idol judge has landed the part of a nursery school admissions teacher.
His character treats the toddlers in the same way as Simon treated the Pop Idol stars - with some cruel put-downs.

The storyline is that the Simpsons are having trouble getting Maggie into a nursery school.
Simon's a big star in the US after the massive success of American Idol.
'Fun villain'
"Simon's very popular in the US," a Simpsons spokesman said. "We thought it would be funny if he played the nursery school admissions officer.
"There's a history in American television of people we love to hate - fun villains. But overall, I'd say he's liked rather than loathed."
